🌶️ A little chili. A lot of heart. A community coming together for Hayden. ❤️

Join us for Avey’s 21st Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at Cat Spring Hall, benefiting 12-year-old Hayden Perez and the Perez family.

Following a serious UTV accident, Hayden spent 30 days in the hospital and has undergone numerous surgeries and skin grafts. With more procedures ahead, proceeds from this year’s benefit will help ease the family’s medical expenses as she continues her recovery.

Hayden’s dad, Shawn, has spent 15 years serving our community as a volunteer firefighter. Now we have an opportunity to show up for his family. ❤️

Two more weeks until the 1st Annual Shirley Biehunko 👩🏼‍🏫 📚 Memorial Chili Cookoff with Live & Silent Auction being held, children’s activities, Saturday September 19, 2026, at Cat Spring Ag Hall—Cat Spring, TX.
Competition starts 8 AM
Auction Starts at 5 PM
Please see attached flyers on how to Participate or Donate to a worthy cause in her honor, as a way to support future children in her community and in her memory.
Stop by Crossroads Tavern to pick up forms (and grab a cheeseburger!) scan the QR Code to donate, or arrange to leave donations.

🎉🎉Be sure to mark your calendars for Next Year-Saturday, June 5, 2027 for the 171st!🎉🎉 You missed some Delicious BBQ if you didn’t make it to the 170th annual Cat Spring Agricultural Society’s event yesterday!
We’d like to thank everyone that made it out, bought plates of yummy food, desserts, donated items to the Live Auction, bought items at the auction, set up before, cleaned up afterwards, and BBQ’d the evening/morning of, and folks in the community that reposted our special event to their pages—Cheers to all for having a really great event!!

Here are a couple of the Winning teams from the Corn-hole tournament, too 😊 more competition this year, maybe even more teams next year will join?!

Saturday is the Big Day—170th Annual Cat Spring Agricultural Society’s JUNE FEST 🤠
5pm-BBQ plates
6:30pm-LIVE Auction Begins! Sign in at the auction table for your Bidder’s Number and help support a great cause. Huge thank you’s to All of the fine folks and businesses that contributed and continue to kindly support CSAS & The Hall through their generous donations. Here are just a few items up for grabs that you can bid on, with more pictures being added to the comments as available to post. Quilts, Baked Goods, a flat trailer, Astros Tickets, custom Corn-hole Boards, cow hide, Speaker/Cooler bags, gift basket, tools, cutting board, porch chair, and so much more.
We also have a Country Store where you can buy some Swag!

Feast on your BBQ, grab some tasty desserts offered by ($) donation, and stick around for the LIVE AUCTION @6:30 that will include some wonderful items. Plus, Two Deck of Card Raffles to try your luck on.
