I just said 2 days ago that Tony is my last foster for awhile because I’m pregnant with another little boy due in September. Joke’s on me! Everyone say hello to Birdie 😂 she’s still very much a puppy and working on her manners 🤭 she’s extremely sweet and will be ready to find her forever family as soon as we can get her cherry eye removed next week! Birdie is so scruffy and has the most precious underbite as you can see 😍

✨ We have a new land seal 🦭 at Mutt Motel! Formerly known as Sam from Fort Bend County Pets - Fort Bend County Animal Services. He’s been at the shelter for wayyyy too long - way over a year. We were able to rescue him just in time on his PUSH list deadline. He is such a sweet guy! We are now calling him Tony ❤️ He randomly limps on his front leg so he will be getting that x-rayed with our friends at Columbus Animal Clinic. Thank you so much for taking him in Lucky Penny Rox Rescue even though intake was closed. We would REALLY appreciate any help covering medical bills not only for Tony but we have many other fosters needing dentals and extensive heartworm treatments in the rescue 🙏 We need help! THANK YOU!!!✨

April has hit us hard medically, and we need your help.

Our vet bill this month has reached $3,445.33, and we have a payment due tomorrow. Between multiple urgent cases, the costs have added up quickly.

We’ve been treating Sandy’s ongoing mysterious skin condition, covering heartworm treatment medications for two dogs, and helping Hazel fight a painful skin infection. These are just a few of the animals depending on us right now.

We never want to say no to an animal in need—but we can’t keep going without support.

✨ Exciting News for Our Community! STARTING MAY 1st!! ✨

We’re happy to share that the Texas DSHS has launched a Spay & Neuter Assistance Program, and we’ve been approved for funding through August 2027 OR until funding runs out!

🐾 What this means for you:

Eligible clients can receive a FREE spay or neuter surgery for their pets. This program covers:

✔️ Surgery

✔️ Sedation

✔️ 24-hour pain injection

Please note: This funding does not cover vaccines, take-home pain medications, e-collars, flea prevention, or other additional services. Also, PUPS vouchers cannot be applied toward these surgeries.

📋 How it will work:

• Current clients will be served first come, first served

• A waitlist will be available for non-clients

• Priority will go to Colorado County residents, followed by surrounding areas

🐱 Bonus for cat owners:

All cats in the program will receive a FREE FeLV/FIV/Heartworm test
