no fault of their own. In our pet-friendly home, they receive quality care, first-rate medical attention, and bundles of love. To do this, we:

1. Maintain a welcoming sanctuary in the security of our own home, with a large fenced yard for exercise and play.

2. We will work to educate the general public on the value of senior pets, the joy they can bring to the lives of humans, and that are not to be thrown away or abandoned. There is always a way to take care of them.

3. On occasion, when necessary, we will help to find a foster, or adoptive home, for a senior pet in need. We are committed to giving our animals the serenity they deserve in their final years, without judgment as to why they came to us. It is our plan that Moose Lodge remains a sanctuary in perpetuity.

This Memorial Day, we’re feeling especially grateful for the people who choose to serve others with kindness, compassion, and community. 🇺🇸🐾

One of these people is Rex, a navy veteran and one of the newest volunteers at Moose Lodge. Rex recently joined us with a simple goal.. to make a positive impact in his local community and help care for the animals who need it most. Already, he has jumped in to help with sanctuary support and a very special new project for the Moose Lodge dogs that we can’t wait to share more about soon! 🐕

Thank you Rex Hansford for your service, your generosity, and for choosing to spend your time to help our seniors have a better quality of life.

Rex was a hospital corpsman with a dental specialty. He enjoys music in his free time and spends time with his dog Reva a service animal from program operation at ease a non profit that helps veterans with a free, trained, service animal. 💜

Shoutout to Dave, the "DAD" of Moose Lodge, for National Week. He welcomes every dog who comes to us with open arms. Every morning, Dave and Debbie feed the crew, and when Debbie heads out to get groceries for the Lodge, everyone is out by the gate, Dave included, waiting for their favorite person to come back.

To the sweetest dad these little old souls could ever hope for, and for being such a special part of their world. Thank you. ❤️🐾

We LOVE spoiling our seniors, especially when they come from unfortunate circumstances. Looks like Alphie enjoys his doggy sundae from and getting spoiled as much as we enjoy spoiling him.

Shelters are noisy and scary for most dogs and so sometimes the best gift we can give our senior rescues is the peace of deep, restful sleep.
