The results are in..and it was a record haul for Douglas County's Drug Take Back Day!

We collected 1,148 pounds of unwanted, unused, and expired medications—helping prevent misuse and protect our environment.

We would like to send out a special thank you and recognition of the CSV team that supported the above Saturday program to collect unused and expired medications at our Drug Take Back Day.

HRSS Team - David Bottoms and Don Hansen.

Castle Pines Team - Jon Radloff and Gwynne Wohlgemuth.

Recently, two of our dedicated CSVs were hard at work—offering a friendly face, answering questions, and making sure everyone who walked through the doors at the Justice Center felt welcomed and supported. Their commitment to serving others does not go unnoticed.

Happy Easter from your DCSO CSV's, we hope that you are having a great holiday 😁 Yesterday, the CSV's helped at a very fun Easter Egg hunt with the kiddos... don't worry, we did not take too much of the candy 😜

We hope all of you had a great St. Patrick's Day! Hopefully you remembered to wear green so you did not get pinched 😜

Happy Presidents Day! Today we honor the leaders who have shaped our nation. Stay safe and enjoy the day.

As a reminder, our lobbies will be closed today in observance of Presidents Day. Dispatchers, patrol, and detention deputies are on duty 24/7. If you need assistance, call our non-emergency number at 303-660-7500 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.

Great reminder! Scammers are especially tricky these days, unfortunately.

Great reminder! Scammers are especially tricky these days, unfortunately.

🚨 DON'T FALL FOR THESE SCAMS!

We are seeing a rise in scams involving individuals falsely claiming to be with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. These scams are not coming from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

One scam involves callers posing as Deputies or Sergeants who claim you missed jury duty or have an active warrant and then demand immediate payment to resolve the issue. The other scam targets families of individuals in custody, falsely offering to help post bond and requesting payment through gift cards, cryptocurrency, or wire transfers.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Detentions Facility will never contact you to collect payment over the phone for any of these reasons. If you receive one of these calls, do not send money and hang up.

To confirm bond information, call 303-660-7550 or visit https://dcsheriff.net/inmates/inmate-bonding/

Please share to help protect others in our community.

A huge congratulations to Parker Police Department, along with Chief Tsurapas and Mayor Rivero, on their formation of the VIPS Program! VIPS (Volunteers in Police Service), similar to the CSV's, will play a huge role in helping the Town of Parker thrive and protect its citizens.
