A huge congratulations to Nick and Isabella on their engagement!

These two were an absolute BLAST to photograph! So much laughter, such a fun connection, and a little romance mixed in with that gorgeous Colorado sunset. 🌅

They’re just graduating from college, and now they’re getting ready to take on their next big adventure together. There’s something pretty special about capturing young love and all the excitement that comes with it!

Such an amazing day up in Estes Park for my last family photography clinic of the year. 🧡🍂

The group of photographers was incredible—supportive, encouraging, and just genuinely happy to create alongside each other. And the families were absolutely unbelievable. So sweet, so much fun, and honestly just adorable to watch these young families interact with each other surrounded by the gorgeous Colorado mountains. 🍁🏔️

There is something extra special about photographing a family when you can feel how much they genuinely enjoy being together. 🤎

I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family during another educational shoot in Boulder, and their little guy absolutely stole the show. The weather was definitely not on our side that day, but you would never know it from these photos. He was such a trooper — and I’m officially putting him in the running for best two-year-old I’ve ever had in front of my camera. 😂 He handled everything like a tiny professional and gave us the sweetest moments.

One of my favorite parts of this photography journey has been meeting other photographers along the way. So far, it has been an incredible group of talented women who have been genuine, encouraging, and incredibly supportive of one another. There’s something pretty great about being around people who want to learn, create, and help each other grow.

A huge thank you to Shannon McTighe Photography and Liz DeVinny Photography for putting together another wonderful educational shoot and for being so generous with your knowledge. I’ve loved every minute of learning alongside this group.

And yes — Random Ass Photography really does get its name from the rescued donkeys, our original “random asses,” who inspired the name and keep the photography connected to a cause. 🤎

There was so much joy in this session. 🍂🤎

Watching the way these kiddos loved on each other, laughed together, and naturally connected with their family was such a beautiful thing to witness. Nothing felt forced — it was just real, warm, and full of life.

And somehow the wild Colorado weather made it even better. We had wind, dark clouds, rain nearby, and even had to pause for some graupel — those soft little ice pellets that look a bit like tiny hailstones.

The fall colors, the stormy sky, the soft light, and this family together made the whole evening feel absolutely breathtaking. 🍁✨

This was one of those shoots where the scenery, the weather, and the people all came together in such a special way.

A huge thank-you to Shannon McTighe and Liz Divinny for putting together such a wonderful fall family shootout. It was such a beautiful opportunity to create, connect, and photograph in such an incredible setting. 🍂

What an incredible experience! I had the opportunity to spend time with a wonderful group of talented photographers, learning from some truly amazing photographers whose work I deeply admire.

Two beautiful families joined us for a hands-on photography clinic in the mountains outside Boulder—and the setting could not have been more picturesque. Between the scenery, the families and all of the creative energy, it was such an inspiring day.

I learned so much, met some fantastic people and created images I am incredibly excited about. I cannot wait to share them with you! 💛

What. A. Night. 🤎📸

This past weekend, Random A Photography had the absolute pleasure of photographing the Douglas Land Conservancy fundraiser, and I left this one with such a full heart.

We were blessed with amazing weather, but honestly, the PEOPLE were the best part. What an incredibly kind, fun, generous group! Everyone was dressed to the nines, full of personality, and ready to have a good time. I truly felt like I could have hung out with this crew all night. 😂🤎

And the trailer scene was a HUGE hit! 🤠 People came back two, three, and even more times for photos. Watching everyone grab their friends, laugh, get silly, and come back for “just one more” was so much fun.

Then came the bidding… WOW. The generosity in that room was incredible. I felt like Speedy Gonzales with a camera trying to catch all those paddles going up! 😂 What an amazing show of support for Douglas Land Conservancy and the work they do for our county.

I was also incredibly lucky to have my daughter there assisting me. She volunteered her time, worked her tushie off right alongside me, and was an absolute gift on such a busy night. Best of all, she had a blast, too. 🤎

We left tired, grateful, and smiling.

Thank you, Douglas Land Conservancy, for trusting Random Ass Photography to capture such a special evening. And thank you to all of the wonderful people who made us laugh, jumped in front of the camera, came back for another photo, raised a paddle, volunteered, donated, and made us feel so welcome.

We genuinely had SO much fun with all of you. 🤎

✨ EXCITING NEWS! ✨ We are incredibly excited to announce that Random Ass Photography has been selected as the photographer for Douglas Land Conservancy’s “Under a Wild Sky” event! 📸🤠

This year’s theme is RETRO COWBOY — so you already know this one is right up our alley. Western style, beautiful Douglas County landscapes, a great cause, and photography? Yes, please.

It’s especially meaningful to have the opportunity to photograph an event that supports the preservation of the open spaces and landscapes that make Douglas County, Colorado such an incredible place to call home.

We can’t wait to saddle up, bring the cameras, and capture this night Under a Wild Sky. 🌄

And because someone always asks about the name — Random Ass Photography was inspired by the rescued donkeys (our “random asses”) at The Random Ranch. They’re a constant reminder that our photography is always Photography for a Cause. ❤️
