It's with a very heavy heart that I share the news of Margaret Bell's passing. One of the kindest people you could meet. Her selfless nature made her a magnet for circles of friends. Margaret was the passionate program leader for Casting For Recovery - Colorado and someone that I looked forward to catching up with for the last couple of CFR retreats. Her presence will be greatly missed and there is a huge hole in many hearts as we all mourn her death.

It is with unspeakable sadness that I share the news that our dear friend and program leader, Margaret Bell passed away on Sunday.
For nearly 7 years, she kicked cancers ass with unfathomable strength, courage and positivity. She was determined to live fully and make every moment she had on this earth count, and she did - and then some. She attended a retreat in the spring of 2018, and then a Stage IV retreat later that summer. She discovered her passion for fly fishing, and fell in love with the organization and its mission, and always one to look for ways to be of service to others, she jumped in with both feet and began volunteering.
In no time, she recruited wellness volunteers from the hospital where she was regularly undergoing treatment, and put together an amazing team of volunteers from all over the state. Margaret’s zest for life, glass half full attitude, and positive outlook were something to behold, and she made us all want to work harder, be better. Just two weeks ago, she was wade fishing and floating the beautiful rivers surrounding Hamilton and Missoula, MT., meeting friends from around the country for the last event, and making plans for the next fishing adventure. No one would have guessed how ill she was and had been for months, because that was Margaret - always putting others before herself, and never wanting anyone to pity her or to treat her as if she was sick; she didn’t want her illness to define who she was. And she was so much bigger than all of that. She made a lasting impression on everyone she ever came into contact with. She was beautiful - (inside and out) full of grace, kind, generous, funny, loyal, sincere, thoughtful, gentle, loving and smart. She was an incredible mother and grandmother, wife, friend, sister, daughter.
We are all better for having known Margaret, she inspired each of us to to live fully, to be present and to look for the joy in all things.
Rest In Peace, dear Margaret. You will forever be loved and missed.

sponsored 12 Amazing Breast Cancer Survivors who spent the weekend learning how to catch BIG fish. There was little learning curve for these women, as 15-20 inch fish were being caught all day long !
