Congratulations to the Morin Family at 103 Lochaven on earning Castle Hills Yard of the Month!

This yard is a beautiful example of how xeriscaping and traditional lawn can complement each other. Red yucca, prickly pear, agaves, and rosemary bushes are thoughtfully spaced along the xeriscape beds, giving each plant room to shine on its own. Pride of Barbados on each end of the lot are putting on quite a show right now.

A clever rock formation along the left side of the driveway does double duty as a landscape feature and keeps the shadow stone anchored in place over a slight dip in the terrain. Lots of great design thinking on display here!

Head around back and you'll find a pool retreat shaded by crape myrtles, with a mix of mulch and lily turf finishing things off beautifully.

If you haven't taken a drive by yet, it's well worth the trip. Well done, Morin family, you've earned bragging rights!

Congratulations to the Derman-Carmichael family at 220 Carolwood for being recognized as Castle Hills Yard of the Month!...

Congratulations to the Derman-Carmichael family at 220 Carolwood for being recognized as Castle Hills Yard of the Month!

Thank you for helping beautify our community with such a thoughtfully designed space. Featuring a blend of crushed granite, shadow stone, and mulch paired with drought-tolerant plants, this yard is not only low-maintenance but also a smart water-saving landscape.

Even more special, the backyard view—framed through large picture windows—creates the feeling of being outdoors while seated comfortably inside around a coffee table. From watching hummingbirds to enjoying the peaceful fountain and vibrant bougainvilleas, it’s a true oasis.

Well deserved!
