After losing Dozer last week to bone cancer we got hit again yesterday with terrible news. Sammie has to undergo a 3 month long rigorous treatment. There’s a chance her body will not be able to handle such a strong treatment I’m told. There will be hospital stays hooked up to an IV and lots of medications. There are blockages in her arteries that could lead to a blood clot and cause heart failure so she’s also not supposed to run (her favorite activity)🥹. If you can send good thoughts her way it is much appreciated. My heart can’t handle much more right now. Thank you 🫶

Hazel is 1 of our long time residents and favorites. She was born in a dairy farm, where they must keep breeding the heifers in order for them to produce milk. Often the babies are disregarded. I heard about this girl who was very young and drove a 4 hour round trip to save her. From then on Hazel thought she was just your average (oversized) pet dog ☺️
