$650 BUSINESS GRANT OPPORTUNITY!! 💲

Application is simple! Great opportunity for $650 business grant.
In an effort to promote business growth in Northeast Franklin County, NC, as well as Franklin County, NC in general, The Northeast Franklin Revitalization (NEFR) Group is offering a grant program to encourage new businesses and help expand existing small businesses under two years old and with a workforce of three or less.

Grant recipients must be expanding or opening their business in Franklin County, NC. Opportunity will be offered to a maximum of 10 people who want to start a business or expand an existing business in 2025/2026. Persons interested must submit an application, be chosen by a Selection Committee appointed by the NEFR Group, and attend a mandatory four-week business class offered through Vance-Granville Community College/Franklin County campus, Louisburg NC.

Classes will be held May 1 – 27, 2025 on Tuesday and Thursday from 6-9pm. Completion of the four-week class program is required. The class is FREE to the applicant.

Our very own Rex Foster was honored with the 2024 Citizen of the Year Award from The Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce. Rex has given many volunteer hours to move our organization forward in the mission set forth several years ago. With his leadership, our organization has been able to offer classes and grants for small businesses in Franklin County, sponsorships to bring awareness to and help grow small businesses in Northeast Franklin County, we have collaborated with legislators to allocate money for our area, helped improve Internet and are still working to get more and better access in our area, and so many other things that bring awareness to the needs of our community.

Please join me in congratulating Rex on his dedicated service to the citizens of Franklin County!

Hosted by Northeast Franklin Revitalization, this is a two-stop tour of Northeastern Franklin County.

In the morning from 9am-12noon, head over to Portis Gold Mine, grab a pan, and hit the dirt. You might strike GOLD!

From 1pm - 4pm enjoy a scenic short drive through the countryside and head over to Kelly Green Farm from 1pm - 4pm!

This event will feature nature activities, including a history-themed hike, make your own walking stick, and more. There will also be a plate sale by Hunter's Smoke Shack & Sweets, offering:
BBQ or Chicken
Mac and Cheese

Green Beans

You are invited to a SUMMIT at Red Bud Baptist Church sponsored by the Northeast Franklin Revitalization group on Monday, March 25. at 6PM. The featured speaker is Jason Brown who will describe his farming operation, "First Fruits," and share his thoughts on how an entrepreneurial spirit, Agritourism, and Agribusiness can revitalize a community. Other exciting announcements will be shared.

Jason Brown is a retired NFL football player now operating a 1,000 acre farm just east of Louisburg.
