π΄π A Special Day at KLS Equine Rescue! ππ΄
On October 4th, KLS Equine Rescue, Inc. had the wonderful opportunity to welcome Girl Scout Troop 91258 from Northfield and Troop 1593 from Oak Harbor for a fun-filled day of learning, laughter, and unforgettable experiences with our horses! ππ
The girls joined us to work toward earning their Horsemanship Patches, and we couldnβt have been more excited to be part of their journey!
With the help of our beloved rescue horses Mercedes, Fez, Thor, and Barry, along with two privately owned horses, the girls enjoyed hands-on experiences learning how to groom, saddle, and ride horses.
A special thank-you goes out to our amazing volunteers Georgia, Ellie, Jen, Remy, Heidi, and Natalie, who generously shared their time, knowledge, and passion for horses to make this experience possible. β€οΈ
Throughout the day, the Girl Scouts gained valuable insight into the responsibilities, dedication, and love that come with horse ownership. By the end of their visit, both the girls and their accompanying adults agreed that it had been a wonderful and educational experience!
At KLS Equine Rescue, our mission goes beyond rescuing horses. We believe in creating connections, educating our community, and inspiring the next generation to appreciate, respect, and advocate for these incredible animals. π΄β€οΈ
To the Girl Scouts and their leaders, THANK YOU for spending the day with us and allowing us to be part of such a special accomplishment. We hope the memories you made will stay with you for years to come!
π Sometimes the greatest lessons arenβt learned in a classroom, but in a barn, beside a horse. π
With love,
The KLS Equine Rescue Family πβ€οΈ
