It was a great day at LMC for Band Festival.

Oh hey, neat-o!

The Cassopolis Middle School Band and Cassopolis High School Band both performed today at Lake Michigan College for the 2026 MSBOA District VI Concert Band Festival.

Both ensembles earned straight Division I Ratings from all three judges, which made the results even easier to publish on one board!
(We are nothing if not efficient!)
I believe it should also be noted both ensembles earned all "A's" in every sub-category, with a couple of A-'s, but also some A+'s!

We are, of course, extremely proud of our students for following through and delivering another super solid performance!

A few acknowledgements:
Corey Ottinger drove our equipment truck today like a boss!
Shatina Brunty covered the critical role of Middle School Band supervision!
Monica McMichael helped get Middle School Band out the door this morning, AND covered a pizza lunch for both ensembles!
Tammy Tusin helped square away the High School Band before departure, and pulled a cart with the usual fare of student support snacks and the like!
High School Prinicipal Lindsay Gorham-Plfug rode the bus with the High School to ensure the bus stayed on the road!

We also had a small army of parents who made the trek over to LMC today to watch our performances...it was very cool and groovy to see!

ALSO:
A special thanks to everyone who donated water/snacks for the cause today. Our students were well hydrated and had their pick of the litter with snacks of choice!

📣 Band Festival Snack & Water Drop-Off

Thank you to everyone who is donating bottled water and snacks for our band students for Band Festival this Wednesday!

Drop-off locations Wednesday morning:

🎺 Middle School: Monica McMichael will be out front at drop-off to collect items.
🎺 High School: Tammy Tusin will be at the high school to accept donations.

If you’re unable to drop off Wednesday morning, please reach out to Tammy or Monica to coordinate another time.

We truly appreciate everyone helping support our hardworking band students! 💙🎶

🎄🎶 Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Junior High and High School Christmas Band Concert! The musicians did a fantastic job, and we are so proud of their hard work, talent, and holiday spirit. It was a great evening celebrating the season through music—thank you for being part of it! 🎶🎄
