☕ **Coffee, Conversation & Community**

We were honored to welcome **State Representative Johanna López** to the Atlantic Institute of Central Florida for our August Coffee Night.

The evening brought together friends, community leaders, and representatives from local organizations for an open and engaging conversation about our community, public service, education, and the importance of staying connected with one another.

Representative López shared her personal journey and experiences in public service, followed by a thoughtful exchange with our guests. And, of course, no Coffee Night would be complete without a taste of **traditional Turkish coffee!** ☕🇹🇷

Thank you to Representative López for spending the evening with us, and to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a warm and meaningful gathering.

🌷 An Afternoon of Turkish Art, Culture & Friendship

We had a wonderful time welcoming our guests to the Istanbul Cultural Center for the Atlantic Institute’s Turkish Floral Art Workshop.

Together, participants discovered the beauty of traditional Turkish floral designs and created their own works inspired by the tulips, carnations, and other motifs that have enriched Turkish decorative arts for centuries.

More than an art class, the afternoon was an opportunity to slow down, learn something new, share Turkish food and hospitality, and build new friendships through culture and creativity.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and to those who helped make this beautiful gathering possible. We hope you enjoy some of these moments—and the wonderful artwork our guests created! 🎨🌷

We're grateful to support Representative Representative Anna V. Eskamani's annual Back to School Drive and to partner with A Gift for Teaching in helping local students start the school year with the supplies they need.

A special thank you to our Atlantic Institute Youth Academy students and families whose generosity made this contribution possible. Seeing our young people embrace the values of service, compassion, and civic engagement is truly inspiring.

Strong communities are built when nonprofits, educators, public servants, and volunteers come together for a shared purpose. We're thankful to be part of that effort and look forward to continuing to serve Central Florida together.

As the new school year approaches, we were honored to support Senator LaVon Bracy Davis’ Back-to-School Drive, helping provide backpacks and school supplies to students in our community.

It was a pleasure meeting Senator Bracy Davis and learning more about her commitment to serving Central Florida. We also had the opportunity to invite her to join us for our Atlantic Institute Coffee Night on August 21, where we look forward to continuing conversations that strengthen our community through dialogue and service.

As the new school year approaches, Atlantic Institute and Istanbul Cultural Center, in partnership with local leaders and elected officials, are organizing a Back-to-School Supply Drive to support students and families in need throughout the Greater Orlando area.

🗓️ Donation Deadline: August 10

We are collecting NEW, UNUSED school supplies, including:

We were delighted to welcome Gina Solomon and representatives from the Adult Literacy League to the Atlantic Institute.

Our conversation focused on the transformative power of education, lifelong learning, and the importance of creating opportunities that empower individuals and strengthen our community.
