Inspire provides employment opportunities and life skills training for adults with developmental disabilities in Central Florida.

The Kathleen Anderson Comprehensive Work Program 501 (c)(3) was formed in 1979 and now utilizes the dba/Inspire of Central Florida. For the past 35+ years Inspire of Central Florida has been a staple in the Seminole County community providing services to the most vulnerable citizens in the Central Florida area. We provide vocational, educational, and community based employment training to adults 2

2 years of age and older with developmental disabilities. We have been helping our clients achieve regular, productive employment since 1980. We believe in the dignity of our clients and the value of their efforts.

💙 Building understanding, strengthening our community. 💙

Today, Inspire of Central Florida had the privilege of partnering with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office as part of their New Deputy Orientation. We provided training on intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), including common diagnoses, sensory sensitivities, communication strategies, and ways deputies may interact with individuals with unique abilities in the community.

Following the training, deputies spent time in our Learning Center, experiencing firsthand the supportive community our specialists help create every day. These opportunities to connect, learn, and build relationships help foster greater understanding and create a more inclusive community for everyone. We learned about our Oceans in style!

Thank you to the Seminole County Sheriff's Office for your commitment to learning and serving all members of our community. We were honored to share our mission and spend the day with you! 💙

☀️🎤🌴 Summer Fun at Inspire! 🌴🎤☀️

Our specialists had an amazing time celebrating summer at our Summer Fun Party! From creating colorful summer visors and showing off their talents during karaoke to playing bingo, corn hole, and spending time with friends, the day was filled with smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

A special thank you to for volunteering and helping make the day so much fun. We are grateful for community partners who invest their time and energy into creating meaningful experiences for the adults we serve.

💙 Meet Our Inspire Staff! 💙

Next up in our staff spotlight series is Jessica, our Adult Day Training (ADT) Coordinator and 2025 Employee of the Year!

Jessica joined Inspire of Central Florida in 2023 as our Administrative Assistant and quickly became a valued member of our team. Through her dedication, compassion, and commitment to our mission, she has built incredible relationships with our specialists, families, and staff.
Now serving as our ADT Coordinator, Jessica plays an important role in supporting our day program and ensuring our specialists have meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive. Her positive attitude, willingness to help wherever needed, and genuine care for others make a lasting impact every day.
Jessica's hard work and dedication were recognized when she was named Inspire's 2025 Employee of the Year—a well-deserved honor for someone who consistently goes above and beyond for our community.

When we asked what Jessica loves most about Inspire, she said, “What I love most about Inspire is the specialists. Seeing the individuals we support grow, reach their goals, and become more independent is incredibly rewarding. The relationships we build and the positive impact we make every day are what make the work so meaningful to me.”

Some of our administration team had the opportunity for an in person training today with ! We use Therap for support with compliance and keeping ourselves organized. We had a great day learning together and brain storming ways to continue to support our amazing adults! 💛

💙 Meet Our Inspire Staff! 💙

Next up in our staff spotlight series is Kennedi, our Programs & Development Manager!

Kennedi joined Inspire of Central Florida in 2024 and plays a key role in leading Operation G.R.O.W., our Adult Day Training center, and advancing our mission through community engagement and development efforts.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from UCF and has been supporting individuals with disabilities since 2015. Combining her experience in public education and nonprofit work, Kennedi is especially passionate about curriculum development and creating meaningful opportunities for learning and growth. Prior to joining Inspire, she worked with UCF-CARD and PALS to implement life skills programs that help individuals build confidence and independence.

Kennedi’s creativity, dedication, and commitment to empowering others help make a lasting impact on our specialists and the entire Inspire community. We’re grateful to have her on our team! 💙

We're excited to share a new opportunity with you!

Access to Career Pathways program designed specifically for Neurodivergent individuals residing in Seminole County. It is a four-week program, which runs from June 9, 2026 to July, 2 2026 and provides participants with opportunities to explore various careers, speak with employers about industry trends, connect with training providers for upskilling, refresh or create new resumes, learn interview techniques, and develop essential soft skills for the workplace.

💙 Today marks Ms. Harrette’s final day at Inspire of Central Florida as she begins her well-earned retirement after an incredible 40 years of service.

On Wednesday, we had the honor of celebrating her legacy, dedication, and the countless lives she has impacted throughout her time at Inspire. Her compassion, commitment, and heart for our specialists have helped shape Inspire into what it is today.

Thank you, Harrette, for four decades of love, leadership, and service. Your impact will be felt for years to come, and you will always be part of the Inspire family.
