The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga do what they can to improve our beloved village. We organize and present festivals, the summer concert series and beautify Ames Common (the small park at the heart of the village). We give a volunteerism award to a deserving CVCS senior. A Welcome Wagon distributes a “goodie bag” to each new resident. However, finances impede our efforts to do more. That is where the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation has stepped up and provided much needed support.
The CBC has been the recipient of many Community Benefits Grants and we are so appreciative. These grants have enabled us to:
Beautify our “down town” with the purchase of Adirondack benches, flower pots and façade improvements.
Install gates and new steps at the basketball court making access to the area easier and safer.
Install new signage at the beach.
Install security cameras at the beach.
Purchase an AED for the community room at the Fire Hall.
Renovate our historic gazebo (in progress now).

The NCCF has also directed us to other funding sources. We were the recipients of a Kaboom! Grant through the Ralph Wilson, Jr. Foundation for playground equipment. Recently, we were again directed by the NCCF to this foundation. We received another grant for a feasibility study to build a walking/bike trail all the way to Cassadaga Lakes Nature Park.
By investing in Cassadaga, the NCCF has truly made our village a better and safer place to live and to visit and we THANK YOU!

This might be one of the most unique lake communities in New York.

👋 Welcome to Cassadaga — a small village centered around the Cassadaga Lakes, known for its quiet setting, deep history, and a character you won't find anywhere else.

This is true lake living: kayaking in the mornings, fishing off the dock, boat days all summer, and a calendar full of local community events.

Named from the Seneca language and shaped by rail history, Cassadaga has always drawn people in.
That identity continues today through its connection to Lily Dale Assembly — a nationally known spiritual community that gives this place a layer of meaning and curiosity unlike anywhere else in the region.

📍And while it feels like a retreat, you're still within reach:
• Buffalo: ~56 min
• Cleveland: ~2 hr 18 min
• Pittsburgh: ~2 hr 39 min

This is the kind of place where you can slow down, without stepping away.

At LIVE CHQ, we're helping you discover communities like Cassadaga — where lifestyle, history, and connection come together.

Cassadaga is just one of the communities waiting for you.
➡️ Explore them all at LIVECHQ.ORG and find the one that fits your life.
