Camp Kamaji for Girls

Camp Kamaji for Girls If you're interested in learning more about camp for you or your daughter, call us at 218-556-1805. At Kamaji we like to celebrate your courage.

Camp Kamaji is a sleepaway summer camp for girls located in the Northwoods of Minnesota. Kamaji's campers are 7-15 years old and join us for 4 or 8 week sessions from all across the United States and other countries such as Mexico, England and France! With 20+ activities like sailing, archery, waterskiing, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, horseback riding, windsurfing, climbing, tennis, kayaking and

much, MUCH more, campers explore new interests and develop new skill sets. Kamaji ascribes to a "back to basics" philosophy that provides a safe place for girls to just act like kids! We want our campers to have a ton of fun, learn new skills and create friendships amongst campers of all ages. A camp for "nice girls", Kamaji is a place to unplug and connect with your true self.

Here’s the thing about being a counselor… you don’t just teach, you learn.

This morning our counselors stepped into the role of campers as they tried new activities they had never done before. They learned from each other, they made mistakes, they persevered, and best of all, they had fun.

Turns out learning something new is part of everyone’s camp experience. 🏹🧗‍♀️

Who is ready to try something new at Kamaji?!

Sometimes I think the hardest part of parenting right now…is that you can do everything right—
and still wonder if your daughter is actually ready.

Not for school… for life.

Confidence, independence, resilience—
those don’t just happen because they’re busy or successful.

They come from different kinds of experiences.

I’m talking about that tonight at 7.
Just an honest conversation about camp and what really matters. If you have a daughter 5 to 15, I’d love for you to join us.

A proposed copper mine in northern Minnesota has become a battleground for politicians and environmentalists — and a pressing reason to explore the waterways.

Homesickness: one of the most asked questions I get. There is a difference between being “homesick” and “missing home”. And both are okay! Listen to hear why missing home and enjoying camp can exist at the same time and why it is can be an opportunity. Let’s talk more about it. Join me next week to have an honest conversation about camp with friend and clinical psychologist, Dr. Julie Caldwell. Register for one of the limited spots at the link in the bio!
