What a busy but beautiful day yesterday turned out to be! Between work, picking up my little from school, making a Mrs. Oil City appearance for the Orr’s Hope Foundation, TBall, and heading back over to David Street Station, it felt like we were constantly on the go!

I didn’t catch pictures of everything — or with everyone I wanted to — but sometimes that just means you were truly living in the moment. So thankful for the conversations, the smiles, the community, and all the people who make these busy days so special. ❤️

Not everyone is going to fit into every group, every activity, or every room they walk into… and that’s okay.

One of the most important things we can do for our kids is help them find the places where they feel safe being themselves. The team, club, activity, or group where they are accepted for exactly who they are. The place where they can grow in confidence, build friendships, and feel like they belong.

And honestly… that doesn’t stop when we become adults. Even as grown-ups, we still search for our people. We still have moments where we feel out of place, unheard, or like we just don’t quite fit in. But eventually, we find the people and places that make us feel comfortable, valued, and understood.

Not fitting in everywhere isn’t a failure. It’s simply part of finding where you truly belong. Teaching our kids that they don’t have to fit in everywhere — because there is a group somewhere that is 100% for them — gives them confidence and reassurance they’ll carry into adulthood.

So if you or your child are still searching for “your people,” keep going. The right group, the right community, and the right connections are out there. And when you find them, it makes all the difference.

Wow, the love I have felt from small locally owned businesses throughout this journey has truly been amazing! If you haven’t been to Bookin’ It, I highly recommend stopping in, meeting the amazing staff, and finding your next favorite book!

Thank you, Bookin’ It, for believing in me and supporting this journey. It truly means more than you know!

Recently, I was told I’ve been kind of quiet on social media… sorry about that, friends. I promise I’m still here, and I’m doing good. ❤️

May has just been one of those crazy busy months. Some weeks we have baseball every single night — sometimes multiple games and practices. I’ve been working a little extra at the store so my employees can make it to graduations, field trips with their kids, and all the important moments that matter most.

I’ve also been helping plan Crazy Days for Downtown Casper and staying active on multiple boards and community projects (because apparently I don’t know how to sit still 😂).

Today, though, I slowed down a little. I spent the day outside working in the yard, soaking up the sunshine, and honestly just enjoying a quiet moment.

Life is busy, but it’s good. ☀️

You can be 100% pro-community and still protect yourself, your family, your business, and your mental wellbeing.

If you find yourself in a spot — whether it’s a club sport, a board, an activity, or an organization — that is constantly dragging you down mentally… it’s okay to leave.

That’s not weakness. That’s not lack of commitment. That’s not lack of community support.

That’s strength. That’s knowing your worth. That’s standing up for yourself and the people who depend on you.

In life, we work hard to find where we belong, and sometimes that means having the courage to walk away from what no longer aligns with you.

Does that make you less community-oriented? Absolutely not.

You can still love your community deeply while choosing peace, boundaries, and growth for yourself too.

If you need to make a change, please do it. Know that you are strong, and you will find your people — the group that supports you, values you, and brings out the best in you.

Lately I’ve been working on walking/running 3 miles, and one thing I’ve noticed is how many hills there are. Some are short and constant… hill after hill after hill. Others feel more like a mountain — long, steep, exhausting climbs — but once you reach the top, there’s a little flat ground, maybe even a downhill stretch to catch your breath.

As I’ve been doing this, I started thinking about life… and sports… and raising kids.

When things get tough, would you rather put your head down and climb one big mountain? Or would you rather face smaller hills over and over again?

There’s really no right or wrong answer. Both take strength. Both teach resilience. Both make you grow in different ways.

I just know that whether it’s parenting, sports, business, or life itself… every hill teaches us something if we’re willing to keep moving forward.

And if you know me, you know I’m the mountain climber. It’s going to be tough, but when I make it to the top… I can finally breathe.

Let’s have a hard conversation… one I’ve really thought about bringing up.

Sponsorships. Donations. Support.

Right now, the economy is tough.
Times are tight—and it’s hitting everyone.

But I can tell you firsthand…
our small business owners are definitely feeling it.
And so are our youth organizations.

So when it’s time to ask for donations or sponsorships…
where are we going?

Are we going to the businesses we regularly support?
The ones we shop at, promote, and pour into?
Or are we going to every door, hoping someone can give?

Because here’s the truth—
our local businesses show up as much as they possibly can.
They always have.

But right now… even they are having to cut back.

So how do we overcome this?

We start by looking inward at our own habits.

If we want strong sponsorships…
if we want thriving youth programs…
if we want businesses that can continue to give back…

👉 We have to put money back into our communities.

As convenient as online shopping can be—
those big corporations aren’t the ones sponsoring your kids’ teams,
donating to your local events,
or showing up for your fundraisers.

Our local businesses are.

This isn’t about guilt—
it’s about awareness, intention, and community.

If we want them to keep showing up for us…
we have to show up for them too. ❤️
