Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming The Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming is a diverse community consisting of 50 churches and faith communitie

The Episcopal Church in Wyoming is a diverse community consisting of 50 churches and faith communities, as well as four Wisdom Centers, that together are seeking to know, love and serve God. We are committed to being an all-embracing spiritual home for everyone, where people come to love and be loved, to grow in faith and spirit, and to explore together the spiritual dimension of life through the person and teachings of Jesus. Our desire is to encounter together the living God, enabling us to live as God’s people in God’s world. We are deeply rooted in the Christian traditions of prayer, contemplation, spiritual exploration, and loving engagement in both Wyoming and the world. The Episcopal Church in Wyoming is one of over 100 domestic and overseas dioceses in The Episcopal Church, which is one of 38 Episcopal/Anglican churches around the world that comprise the worldwide Anglican Communion, with more than 85 million members under the leadership of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

A prayer for Indigenous People’s Day:

Creator God, from you every family in heaven and earth takes its name. You have rooted and grounded us in your covenant love and empowered us by your Spirit to speak the truth in love, and to walk in your way towards justice and wholeness. Mercifully grant that your people, journeying together in partnership, may be strengthened and guided to help one another to grow into the full stature of Christ, who is our light and our life. Amen.

Nominations and applications are now open for the next Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming.

We are grateful to share our newly published diocesan profile. It was shaped by the voices of people across this Diocese, gathered in listening sessions from one corner of the state to the other. In its pages you will find our congregations, our ministries, and the hopes we hold for the years ahead. We give thanks for everyone who took part.

We invite you to read the profile and share it widely, especially with those who may be called to this ministry.

The 60th Annual Diocesan Convention is a wrap! St. Peter's Sheridan and the Golden Dome at Sheridan College were great venues. The closing worship was powerful, energizing and affirming. Budget adopted, four resolutions passed and elections conducted at the Business Meeting.

Long day with a lot of happenings at the 60th Diocesan Convention! Enjoy the pics!

🕯️ Our 60th Annual Convention has begun!

We gathered this afternoon at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Sheridan for Prayers and Preparation, opening our time together in prayer, reflection and discernment.

Through prayer cards, the lighting of candles, music and quiet space, we were invited to listen, discern, transform and renew as we prepare for the work, worship and fellowship ahead.

May the Holy Spirit guide us as we gather from across the Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming for our 60th Annual Convention, “Called here, called now!”

Something new is taking root in our diocese. 🌱
A small group gathered at the Thomas the Apostle Center for the first Spiritual Friends retreat — spending time together in prayer, listening and learning new and ancient ways of noticing where the Holy Spirit is moving among us.

This ministry is just beginning, and we’re excited to see where the Spirit leads.
Does this kind of prayerful work speak to you? Contact the Rev. Lara Gilbert, Canon for Discernment, to learn more.
