Purchasing a Dog from a Breeder vs Adopting a Dog from a Shelter/ Rescue:
The debate could go for millennia.

BUT, Where I, as a dog trainer focusing on behavior and behavioral issues, take great offense from Breeders are these "In-Tact" terms set with the purchase of the dog.

1) If the animal is "SOLD", the breeder should have NO SAY in spay/neutering after that, Unless its a non-committal way of say "We might want to breed your dog later for our own profit."

2) As the animal comes of age... and a behavioral issue due to hormones that should have been addressed long ago, the animal gets dumped in a rescue or shelter or rehomed... creating instability in the animal... far more likely to lash out and/ or compound the behavioral issues.

3) Its all base on human greed and the all-mighty-dollar.
