Wyoming Wool Growers To support and advocate for the WY sheep industry and all WWGA members

06/26/2026

So proud to have Mountain Meadow Wool Mill in Wyoming and for their amazing work to be highlighted on the national stage. Thank you for all that you do for the sheep and wool industries in the state and across the country!

**due to the comments: It’s an honor to be invited to the White House by any administration for such a recognition, whether you agree with the politics or not, it’s an opportunity to share what your work means to an industry and why you do it. There’s always an opportunity to learn and improve.

Livestock Producers Wanted for Texas A&M Research Study

My name is Danial Nayeri, and I am a PhD student in the Department of Rangeland, Wildlife, and Fisheries Management at Texas A&M University. I am conducting interviews with livestock producers to better understand experiences and perspectives regarding livestock guardian dogs (LGDs) and predator management.

I am interested in speaking with producers who:
• Previously used LGDs, but no longer do
• Have never used LGDs for some reason

Interviews are confidential and conducted over Zoom, take approximately 30–45 minutes, and participation is completely voluntary.

I am especially interested in hearing a variety of perspectives and experiences, including challenges producers may have encountered when using or considering LGDs.

If you would be willing to participate or would like additional information, please contact me at [email protected] or (707) 630-7090.

Thank you for supporting agricultural and wildlife research.

NWS CONFIRMED IN THE U.S.

New World screwworm (NWS) has now been confirmed in the United States, making producer awareness and preparedness more important than ever.

To help sheep producers understand the risks and prepare their operations, ASI has prepared a producer-focused reference that covers everything from risk reduction to treatment options. This is information your operation needs now, before a case reaches your area. Visit screwworm.gov for current case information and the most up to date guidance.
