We’re grateful. 🇺🇸

Today, we honor the men and women who have served our country with courage and dedication. 🇺🇸

We’re proud to partner with Hunting with Heroes Wyoming to help make hunts like this one possible — when Marine Corps veteran Anthony Grimaldi harvested the ram of a lifetime in HA-5 with WY-WSF Board Member Jimmy Owens of Lost Creek Outfitters.

We’re grateful to Hunting with Heroes and everyone involved in creating opportunities like this for disabled veterans who have given so much for our nation.

To all who have served — thank you.

It’s Veterans Day. 🇺🇸

At Hunting with Heroes Wyoming, we’re privileged to stand beside those who’ve stood for us. We’re honored to help America’s disabled veterans experience the adventure, healing, and camaraderie of Wyoming’s great outdoors.

When veterans look back and think about how hard it was, we want to help them see how far they’ve come—and realize just how well they are doing today. Every step is a victory.

Look into the eyes of each veteran and be reminded that the spirit of service lives on long after the uniform comes off. To all who’ve served, and to the families who serve alongside them—thank you.

Thank a Vet today. 🇺🇸

Meet U.S. Army Veteran Travis Goss! 🇺🇸

Travis hunted antelope recently with our Casper Chapter. He’s from Oshkosh, Wisconsin and proudly served 15 years in the Army, including four years deployed to Iraq. During his service he was an HMV operator, AIT instructor, and worked across artillery, cavalry, and infantry units. He was stationed at Fort Stewart, Fort Leonard Wood, and Fort Carson.

Travis also shared that he is a videographer and enjoys filming outdoors as a way to unwind. He offered to return at some point to film a hunt or two with us.

After he bagged this unique goat on Saturday, Travis spent Sunday exploring with Hunting with Heroes Wyoming team members, Jim Berry and and Ken Thoren (both of these guys have been with us from our first hunt in 2013).

“I love the outdoors — it’s a form of therapy,” Travis said. He was in the field with guide, Jim Berry.

Congratulations, Travis. Nice goat! Thanks again, Jim!

Craig Bukowski was the first veteran in at our Cheyenne Chapter Antelope Hunt this weekend!

Craig is a proud U.S. Army veteran who served over 20 years, retiring as Major Bukowski. Originally from Wisconsin, Craig joined the Army right out of high school, earned his E5, and later went Green to Gold with the majority of his career in combat and Special Forces. He completed five combat deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo.

A lifelong outdoorsman, Craig loves hunting and fishing. He lives in Cheyenne, he’s active with Army Bass Anglers and supports several veteran nonprofits.

Huge thanks to Craig’s guides, Zane and R.W. Grafton, who were in the field with him today. Awesome job, Craig, thank you for serving, and welcome to the Hunting with Heroes Wyoming family! 🇺🇸

Carlos Gonzales, retired Master Gunnery Sergeant, proudly served 24 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Today he lives in Cheyenne, Wyoming, raising his three sons to be “respectful, responsible Americans.”

🇺🇸 Carlos enlisted in 1996 and spent his career serving around the world—including multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as tours in Japan, Syria, Kuwait, Jordan, Guantanamo Bay, and the South Pacific. He was stationed across the U.S. and even spent some time in Wyoming before retiring on December 21, 2021—after 24 years and 21 days of service. 🇺🇸

Carlos hunted with our Casper Chapter recently. He was guided by Judson Thoren—who grew up with Hunting with Heroes Wyoming and now helps lead the Casper Chapter. Judson’s dad, Ken, has been guiding with us since our very first hunt in 2013. The Thoren family is part of our foundation, and we’re grateful for them.

Awesome day in the field for Carlos and Judson—well done, gentlemen! BTW, Judson said, “Carlos is a blast to be around!”
