Driftless Humane Society is excited to offer a Low-Cost Vaccination Clinic to help keep pets in our community happy and healthy! 🐾

Low-cost rabies and distemper vaccines will be available for dogs and cats, along with FREE microchipping thanks to a generous donation from Lost Dogs of Wisconsin. ❤️

We were able to help our first family,

This family hopes to stay anonymous but still has a story to share.

“For many years, our dogs have been cherished members of our family. Sasha has been by our side for 13 wonderful years, Shilo for 9 years, and more recently, Milo and Dixie joined our family a little over a year ago. Each one has brought unconditional love, companionship, and countless memories that we will always treasure.

Recently, we found ourselves facing one of the hardest decisions any pet owner can make. After 13 amazing years together, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Sasha. It was a heartbreaking decision made out of love and compassion, wanting to give her peace after a long, happy life.

At the same time, we also needed to get Milo and Shilo caught up on their vaccinations to keep them healthy and protected. These unexpected veterinary expenses came all at once and created a financial burden for our family.

We are incredibly grateful for the kindness and generosity of the organization that has stepped in to help with these expenses. Their support has eased some of the stress during an already emotional time and has allowed us to focus on caring for our dogs and honoring Sasha’s memory.

Thank you for helping families like ours. Your compassion makes a real difference, and we will never forget the kindness you’ve shown during one of the most difficult moments we’ve faced as pet owners.”

Easter may come with cute bunnies in baskets - but real rabbits are complex, long-term commitments. They require specialized veterinary care, daily enrichment, proper housing, and yes - critical, lifesaving procedures like spay/neuter.

For those who have thoughtfully chosen to adopt a rabbit: rescues are here for you. We provide education, support, and rabbits who are already spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and carefully matched to the right homes. Adoption is a commitment, but it’s one you don’t have to navigate alone.

Bunnies are not gifts. Not for Easter or birthdays. Too often, impulse purchases lead to neglect, abandonment, or overcrowded shelters just weeks later.

If you want to celebrate Easter with something soft and snuggly - choose a plush. It’s all the cute, with none of the consequences. 🐰
