Camp 2026 is officially in the books! 🎻
This year we said an emotional thank-you to corrine.agnew who has led Fiddle Camp as our camp coordinator with so much heart over the years. We’re endlessly grateful for everything she’s built.
From early classes to late night jam sessions around camp, this week was full of the music, laughter, and community that make Fiddle Camp what it is. Thank you to every camper, instructor, and volunteer who made it happen.

Quiet tonight in Cashmere. 🌙

The creek's running, the valley's settling in, and by this time tomorrow this place will be full of fiddles, laughter, and the sound of everyone tuning up for the first time.

Two days until Fiddle Camp! 🎻

This is last year's crowd gathering for the first camp meeting — and it's exactly the feeling we can't wait to have again. Campers rolling in, instruments in hand, old friends catching up and new ones about to be made, all with those gorgeous Cashmere mountains standing watch.

🎻🎤 Meet your instructor: Deanna Wilson
Deanna grew up performing all over the country with her family’s band — and along the way, she picked up piano, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and upright bass, plus most of the lead vocals. She’ll tell you it all traces back to piano — once you understand the patterns, the stringed instruments start to make sense too.
She met her husband Andrew (also teaching at camp this year!) as a teenager at a fiddle contest — and decades later, music is still very much a family affair. Their son Jake is teaching at camp too.
At WOTFA Fiddle Camp 2026, Deanna is teaching:
🎻 Fiddle Level 2 — Session 2 (12:30pm–3pm)
🪕 Learn to Play Mandolin — Mini Class
Never touched a mandolin? Start here. Basic chords, simple tunes, and the foundation to jam with confidence.
🎤 Learn to Play Vocals — Mini Class
Old-time Appalachian and mountain singing styles, harmony, and how to bring your voice into a jam setting.
🎵 Harmony in Performance — Session 3, with Andrew Wilson
Small bands form, arrange, and rehearse together — then perform at the Thursday evening showcase.
Multi-instrumentalist. Family musician. Generous teacher. Deanna brings a little bit of everything to camp.
