Caseville Community Food Pantry

Caseville Community Food Pantry The mission of the non-profit Caseville Community Food Pantry is to provide food assistance to qualifying individuals within its service area.

The Caseville Community Food Pantry is located inside The Caseville United Methodist Church. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, we have changed most of our service to a Mobile Pantry set up. However, we are still available to anyone in need of immediate or emergency food assistance. The Food Pantry is non-profit 501 C 3 and relies solely on donations of food, services, and money. Many businesses and co

mmunity members make The Caseville Community Food Pantry a priority when making annual charitable contributions. The Food Pantry is run by an all volunteer staff and we are always looking for enthusiastic individuals that would like to enrich their lives by assisting others in need.

This week we said goodbye to a dear friend and an important member of our little food pantry.

Linda Hogan passed away on May 1, 2026 and her presence will be greatly missed. Linda came to the pantry during a time when we needed her skills and expertise from the food and grocery industry the most. She not only stepped in but stepped up to any challenge that our pantry faced and always did so with a smile on her face.

Many of you got to know here well when she started to manage our growing list of volunteers. Let me tell you that from the administration side of that undertaking, she had it running like a well-oiled machine. She then took on the job of organizing the donated food from our local grocery store and making arrangements for our annual dairy give away.

During the holidays if you saw her going from business to business in town, she was likely holding a pile of our holiday ornaments for our annual fundraising campaign. She regularly checked in with the businesses to get them more ornaments, see how the donations were going and to provide a little “seed money” to encourage others to donate.

Her years as a grocer really helped us to maintain our in house pantry. We have “pantry parties” and she would lead the rest of us on the nuances of rotating stock, facing the shelves and what should and should not be kept on hand. When we were blessed to obtain a cooler for our Friday food pickups she was often already at Helping Hands to help unload the donations and make everything as professional and presentable as possible. She also helped with calls from families in need of food assistance and made sure they had what they needed.

Linda left a huge impact on all of us with our pantry. Whether you worked alongside of her, spoke or texted with her as a volunteer or received food from us in any form, Linda left her mark on you. She was a beacon of love & generosity. She loved her community and the people in it. We will miss you Linda and we will do our best to honor your service and your memory.
