Please join Camp Sunshine in thanking our incredible friends at Camp Mataponi for their continued support of Camp Sunshine’s mission!

This summer, campers once raised funds for Camp Sunshine by hosting their beloved Camp Sunshine Marathon. From obstacle courses to layups, every effort counted, raising an incredible $9,500 to help families find hope, joy and community at Camp Sunshine. ☀️

A special thank you goes out to Marcy Isdaner, owner of Camp Mataponi and a proud member of our Board of Directors, for her continued support!

Camp Sunshine is accepting family and volunteer applications for our upcoming Bereavement session happening October 8–12, 2026 for families who have experienced the death of a child due to a diagnosis served by Camp Sunshine.

Bereavement Sessions are completely free for eligible families and provide opportunities to connect with others who understand, honor cherished memories, and find comfort together.

For families attending a Bereavement Session for the first time, a beautiful memory quilt will be lovingly created in honor of your child, courtesy of our incredible group of volunteer quilters.

If your family could benefit from this meaningful time of connection at Camp Sunshine, we encourage you to reach out for more information or apply online.

We’re hitting the road! 🚗 Over the next few months, we’ll be traveling to colleges across New England to connect with students who are looking for a meaningful way to give back, gain hands-on experience working with kids, and make a difference.

We’ll be sharing more about volunteering at Camp Sunshine, our upcoming session dates, and all the ways students can get involved! ☀️

One week until we tee off! ⛳ Join us on Monday, August 31 at Point Sebago Resort Golf Course for their 2026 Golf Shootout to benefit Camp Sunshine. This event hosted by our friends at Point Sebago offers participants the ability to enjoy 18 holes of golf, exciting contests, raffle prizes, on-course games, food and more!

Another special session wrapped up at Camp yesterday! Families who attended this year’s Nephrology / Solid Organ Transplant session experienced a week filled with waterfront time, guided bass fishing, visits from the mascots, a lively talent show, a heartfelt wish boat ceremony, and so much more! And of course, plenty of laughs along the way. 💛

Exciting news! Camp Sunshine won 1st place in the state of Maine in the 2026 Red Sox Foundation IMPACT Awards, recognizing our work in the Type 1 Diabetes community! Thank you so much for voting and helping us secure a $15,000 grant for our Family Fund! We’re looking forward to celebrating at Fenway Park alongside the other New England winners on September 13. Thank you to the Red Sox Foundation, the Manning Family Foundation, and everyone who voted for Camp Sunshine!
