Friends of the Cascade Public Library Friends is a nonprofit volunteer advocacy organization that supports the Cascade Public Library. There are opportunities to help with library programming.

Friends of the Cascade Public Library is a volunteer organization that supports the Cascade Iowa Public Library. The group is dedicated to supporting and promoting the Cascade library through programs and financial support helping to cultivate a love of learning and the joy of reading. OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of the Cascade Friends of the Li

brary is to help fund programs for adults and children and provide volunteer services through our time and talents. HOW CAN YOU BE INVOLVED
You can join by e-mailing us at [email protected] or find a membership form at the library. Assist with Marketing and Social Media. Help with public events. Help update the story on the river walk. Join us and help with Friends fundraising events

HOW DO THE FRIENDS OPERATE
The Friends Board is elected from the membership. The annual meeting is held each January. Other meetings are planned quarterly. Communication will be through e-mails to the membership and finding updates on the Cascade Friends of the Library page. BOARD MEMBERS

With Fall coming do you have "fix it up" jobs to do around your home but maybe don't have the tools you need.....

Thanks to the Ron Radloff Family - his wife Mary, daughter Amy and her family and his son Father NIck, the Cascade Public Library may have just what you need to get the job done! Stop in and check out the tools you may borrow to help you with your fall clean up and your "to do" list! Our wonderful library staff is happy to assist you.

SAVE THE DATE! The next Friends meeting is Tuesday, September 15 at 5:30 in the community room at the Cascade Public Library. We hope to see many of you there as we will be discussing our fourth quarter fundraisers (Holiday Photo Shoot/Cookie Walk) as well as setting a date to decorate for the holiday. We are always looking for new members...please feel free to come to the meeting and see what we are all about...we would love to have you join us!

In light of recent devastating losses, our Cascade community is carrying heavy hearts. You do not have to process grief alone. 🩵💜

RISE Counseling is hosting Light After Loss, a free grief support and informational session designed to help our community heal together.

📅 Date: Monday, August 17th, 2026
⏰ Time: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
📍 Location: Cascade Public Library (108 2nd Avenue SW, Cascade, IA 52033)

👥 Who it’s for: Anyone navigating loss - whether grieving a family member, friend, or community impact.

✨ Group Breakouts: The session will split into dedicated Youth & Adult breakout groups.

No registration is required, and this event is completely free.
