Join us on Saturday, July 11 @ 9AM to dedicate this awesome mural that honors our Veterans, History and the partner organizations that serve Veterans!!

After the dedication there will be an Open House for the HOHP Veterans Center! Take a walk thru history and visit the HOHP Museum!! Our Veterans have donated many items that are on display on the walls and in the museum.

Approximately 4000 Veterans come through the doors of our Veterans Center for services each year. Come in, look around the center and learn about what is available here!

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, July 11!!

Just in case you were wondering . . .

Germaine worked on the USS Arizona over the weekend, the Iwo Jima Flag raising and the Red Tail!!

He also added some white around SSgt Iikens nose area as we remember him in his retired days!!

The weather made things a little crazy this weekend but Germaine hung in there!!

Thank you for bringing this mural to life!! Can’t wait to see what it looks like when it’s done!!

Happy Flag Day!!!!

The colors red, white, and blue on the United States flag have official symbolism that was agreed upon when the flag was established in 1777:

Red
Represents hardiness, valor, courage, and readiness to sacrifice. It can also symbolize the blood of those who have fought to protect the country and its freedom.

White
Represents purity and innocence. It can also symbolize the country's independence from other countries and its adherence to its ideals.

Blue
Represents vigilance, perseverance, and justice. It can also serve as a reminder to remain strong and watchful.

Today is National Women Veterans Recognition Day - 12 June!! We honor the women who answered the call to serve OUR country!!

Women Veterans Recognition Day is observed annually on June 12, commemorating the historic 1948 signing of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act, which allowed women to serve as permanent, regular members of the United States Armed Forces. We honor the service, sacrifice, and continued legacy of women veterans.
