One example is through the Internet of Things (IoT) connected devices such as smart locks, thermostats, and doorbells. In 2018, The New York Times documented survivors experiencing technology-facilitated abuse, including air conditioners being remotely turned off, digital door codes being changed, and doorbells being repeatedly activated.
