NCBF introduced the Fred D. Hutchison and Janet Ward Black Justice Funds and the Pender R. McElroy and J. Mitchell Aberman Lawyer Impact Funds during a dedication ceremony at the Bar Center. These Funds enhance the Foundation’s ability to mobilize NCBA members to serve the people of North Carolina through pro bono, civic education and professionalism-focused programs. On May 1, the North Carolina Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and the North Carolina Bar Foundation’s annual celebration of Law Day took place. Part of that celebration was the final stage of the McIntyre Youth Leadership Challenge for the top four middle and high school student competitors.
