We believe that churches can bring healing to families in crisis in the hospitals!

Our Christian organization was founded in loving memory of Megan Dean and Evline Thomas – two beautiful baby girls who lived with Hurler’s Syndrome. Begun in 2013 in their honor, we recognized the unique need for more comprehensive support in the community for families like Evline and Megan’s traveling to NC for treatment; meaning we must meet their spiritual, emotional, and physical needs in thei

r entirety. This is carried out through programs designed to meet holistic needs of families. Churches are able to use this model of programs and create a hospital ministry to serve families in crisis in the hospitals.

For more than five years now, supporters like you have helped us bring healing to more than 6000 families in crisis in the hospital by training and equipping the local church with relief programs. We have seen lives, hearts and eternities changed for Christ.

As Jeremiah 29:11 proclaims, "I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Our plans are not always His plans. And while we know God has been at work through DTMF, we have discerned that He is calling us in a new direction.

Due to lack of funding, DTM is no longer able to sustain our efforts. Through His grace and guidance we have laid the groundwork with local churches and hospitals so that they are equipped to continue to serve families in need in our community. Through partnership with us, North Raleigh Presbyterian Church now has a hospital ministry which will have a Comfort Cooks program. If you are interested in supporting their hospital ministry please contact them.

Thank you to all who have prayed for and supported us over the years! Because of you, we became a force of change in our community. We have loved others deeply and will continue to do so in our daily lives moving forward. We have honored our angels, honored our Savior, and honored each other in the way we have shown love.

Our team is taking time to pray about our next steps as an organization. With God as our leader we know he will provide us with all the answers we seek. We would appreciate your prayers also on how we can best in 2019. We will be taking a social media break to focus on the bigger picture of our mission for this reason. 🙏🏻 stay warm and healthy friends.

When others are in need and we share our hearts with them by loving them deeply, we experience joy. That's what DTM volunteers find out time and time again. Did you know you are 2x more likely to follow through with New Years resolutions if you keep working towards that goal after a slip? So if you are dieting, trying to have more self-love, or trying to give back to your community more often, and you have slipped this month, its OK! Studies show that after you slip up, persistence kicks in for many of us, and we keep moving forward toward the goal we set.
