Despite the heat we had a great turn out at yesterday’s Pool Party celebrating Independence Day! Fun music from DJ Elton, pool volleyball and games, a surprisingly delicious food “cart” from Durty Dogz, ice pops to cleanse the pallet, even a little s**g dancing! Great job from our Lifestyles and Events team and to all that turned out in the Carolina summer heat!

The Town of Cary has earned the title of Best Place to Live in North Carolina for the second consecutive year, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2026–2027 rankings. Cary also placed No. 11 overall in the nation and fifth among medium-sized cities — and was recognized as the No. 51 Best Place to Retire in the U.S.

U.S. News highlighted Cary's strong job market, lower unemployment, higher median household incomes, and shorter-than-average commute times as key factors in the ranking.

The recognition adds to a strong year for Cary, which also topped Niche.com's Best Place to Live in North Carolina rankings and saw The Nest at Downtown Cary Park honored again by USA Today 10Best.

We just got a complete remodel of our outdoor pool & deck, landscaping, and sound system. Sundek and Pinnacle Pools did an amazing job!

One of the many great things about Carolina Preserve is our Lifestyles Department and the full schedule of performances throughout the year at Bradford Hall. Last night, The UNC Clef Hangers serenaded our sold out ballrooms with an awesome A Ca****la show. Check out the video in the comments.

Carolina Preserve is adjacent to the American To***co Trail, running 22 miles from downtown Durham to Apex and connecting 3 counties. We also have several miles of greenway running right through our nature preserve and surrounding Amberly Lake. We love being outdoors no matter the season!

It was a brisk morning last Saturday but that didn’t stop our Tennis Club from holding a little intracommunity tournament for bragging rights. We will be hosting some of the Chatham County Senior Games again this year on our Har-Tru courts.
