What better way to start off the week after a day off than a visit by the Town of Cary Fire Department! One of our 2-year-olds helped demonstrate "Stop, Drop, and Roll" for us. We even got to explore the fire truck - inside and out!

What a beautiful day for our first Genesis Day of the Year!!!! Our 2s, 3s, and 4s all had a lot of fun exploring the different classroom activities as well as playing outside after 2 days of rain! We got to decorate pumpkins that will go in the hallway. There were lots of blocks to build with and fun sensory bins to explore as well! To top it all off we got to have a PIZZA PARTY! Best day so far!

Whoo-hoo!!! We had our first STEAM Friday of the year with our Giraffe and Tree Frog friends. We made purple liquid turn red or blue depending on if we added an acid or a base. We played with pendulums, one short and one long, to see which moves fastest and longest. We engineered mazes for our wind-up mice to run through. We drip painted with all the colors for Art. For math, we measured how long and wide our big room was using our bodies! (10 1/2 children long, 4 children wide). We had so much fun and can't wait for our October STEAM Friday!
