October 7, 2023 did not mark the beginning of Gaza’s humanitarian crisis. Palestinians in Gaza had already endured years of blockade, repeated hostilities, displacement, and severe restrictions on healthcare and basic necessities. The past three years have sharply intensified those conditions.

From mass injury and a devastated health system to hunger, unsafe water, displacement, and growing mental health needs, the public health impacts extend far beyond the death toll.

Keep learning. Keep sharing verified information. Keep eyes on Gaza. 🇵🇸
