Here’s a blast from the past. On this cloudy day, about a dozen Young Marines of different ages and abilities faced the challenges of a local ropes course. Some jumped at the challenge while others stood back and had to summon much courage. By the time this activity was winding down, the youngest and most anxious Young Marine was finally in the “crow’s nest” and balked at going home. He was the last to get on the course and last to come down. Now dreams for their future may not have included anything related to climbing ropes, but this program helped prepare them for whatever was before them.

Who can spot our current Commander?

What do you think of our exciting and educational weekend? These experiences are possible through fundraising, our Young Marines families, our friends and your generous donations, which may be tax deductible according to IRS rules/regulations.

“Here we grow!!!” We are currently training our newest recruits. Now would be a good time to help with their expenses by donating to our unit on the Young Marines website. Go to https://youngmarines.salsalabs.org/capitalcityyoungmarines

You can also help by contacting your Congress member and ask them to restore funding for this program. The Young Marines of today just might end up in their seats one day!
