University of Scouting - Occoneechee Council University of Scouting is Occoneechee Council's largest annual leader training event.

Learning can be tough, and you might need a pick me up while you're at University of Scouting.
We have two OA chapters providing cheerful service by selling soda and candy from 10am to 2pm.

Their operation is cash only though, and its recommended to bring $1s and $5s (or you know, buy for friends too).

We'll see you on Saturday at the University of Scouting. Forgot to register? That's ok - walk-ins are welcome.

Mental health QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training is an important su***de prevention strategy because it empowers everyday people to act as "gatekeepers" and intervene in a mental health crisis. It provides a practical, evidence-based method for recognizing warning signs, offering hope, and connecting at-risk individuals with professional help, much like CPR training prepares people for a medical emergency.

The Poe institute is teaching this important class at University of Scouting this year - due to the subject matter this class is for people 18 years of age and older.

Don't forget we have Cub Camp Snoopy at this year's University of Scouting!

Intended for Cub Scouts, you can bring your Cub Scout to University of Scouting to have a day of play while you go learn - Parents are welcome too!

Day Campers get a special event patch that they can color themselves (and maybe give us ideas for next year's patch!)

Cub Camp Snoopy is $20 for the Cubs, but please note this is not a drop off program - you do need to be on site.
