Carthage Crisis Center

11/05/2026

As the holidays approach, we want to see everyone has a place to sit in fellowship with others. So our doors will be open again for Thanksgiving. Please note some changes this year:

1. Delivery service is no longer available.
2. Carry-out is available but you must go through our food line to receive it.
3. If you feel compelled to give, we will accept donations.
4. Please RSVP. By doing so, you are ensuring we provide an adequate amount of food.

Our Lord is great in allowing the Carthage Crisis Center to exist for 30 years. Our mission will always be to extend assistance and grace to those who find themselves in troubled times. We hope to see you at our table.

We’ve added another row of stuff to our parking lot sale. Pretty sure it’s stuff you need and a great reason to get out in this sunshine.

We’re giving you something to CROW about this Monday! Our parking lot starts today. Hours are:

Monday til 5pm
Tuesday - Friday 10am - 5pm
Saturday 10am - 5pm

As always, this sale is donation based. Your monetary support is vital to providing resources as our residents work toward self-sufficiency.

We are so grateful to the Arvest Foundation for their $11,000 grant to help us purchase new commercial washers and dryers for our residents at the center. Thank you for supporting our mission.

Thank You to Alicia Pryor, Our Staff, and Volunteers

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation to Alicia Pryor and all the dedicated staff and volunteers at the Crisis Center.

Thank you for the countless hours, hard work, sacrifices, and love you continue to pour into the Center and the lives of those we serve.

Your dedication does not go unnoticed. Every act of kindness, every helping hand, every prayer, and every effort you make is helping change lives and restore hope.

Sometimes the work is difficult, the days are long, and the challenges seem endless. But please remember that what you do matters, the people you serve matter, and YOU matter.

I pray that God continues to bless each of you, strengthen you when you’re tired, encourage you when things get difficult, and remind you of the difference you’re making.

Galatians 6:9 reminds us not to grow weary while doing good, because in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Alicia, and thank you to every staff member and volunteer.

You are valued. You are appreciated. And you are making a difference.

May God richly bless each and every one of you!

With heartfelt gratitude and appreciation.

We know you have ‘em! We want ‘em please! Every evening The Center sets out meals for those who need one. They’re placed in plastic bags for easier handling. If you have extras, we’d appreciate you dropping them off at the Crisis Center front desk or Treasures on Main Thrift Store. Another way we reuse, recycle or repurpose. ♻️♻️♻️

Many thanks to PROOF for helping us Saturday with some overdue projects. They move so fast we forget the photos. Working with a group whose mission includes “We’re living proof that recovery, redemption and community can change lives” is a perfect fit for the CCC. When you witness survivors giving back, you’re in the light of God.

After being assured the Carthage Crisis Center property was safe during their quarterly eval, our Security Department seemed surprised when presented evidence to the contrary. Now they’ve requested an attorney.
