What do you do when the Hot Rod Power Tour 2026 is passing through Carthage one block from our store? You invite them to stop and stretch their legs by shopping in our store! According to our research, a record 9,000 participants started their Route 66 journey in Joliet, IL which concludes in Tulsa, OK on Friday. We were fortunate to have some early tour travelers shop with us this week. Safe travels for all who pass through our great community!

Thank you to Southwest Missouri Bank and the Corley Memorial Trust for granting us $5,000 to help with installation of an HVAC system in our thrift store Treasures on Main Street. Community supporting Community helping those in need.

Congratulations to this year's Corley Grant recipients!

“This year we were able to assist 72 area non-profits through the distribution of $270,276,” said Chuck Brown, Senior Vice President and Trust Officer at Southwest Missouri Bank. “Over the past seven years over 1.4 million in grants have been distributed. Mr. Corley’s legacy will continue to enhance our local communities for many years to come, and will help these organizations provide much-needed services to our residents.”

Dear God, thank you for loving me enough to send Your Son to save my life. Thank you for not turning away from me while I was yet a sinner even though You had every reason to be ashamed of me. WOW!!! Keller Williams Elevate of Carthage and Joplin outdid themselves with this huge donation for our residents. We’re blessed to be a recipient of your RED DAY activities.

Ours is not glamorous work. Recovery from addiction is hard work. Sustained recovery is even harder. Building a foundation after incarceration or homelessness is hard work. Sustaining it is even harder. Our victories are hard fought and may be small to many but to the people inside our walls, they’re HUGE. Thanks again for believing our work matters.
