Great Friday night! Tonight’s group focused on learning to love ourselves. If God has given you another day to live, why are you still sentencing yourself to a lifetime of punishment for your past?
Loving yourself doesn’t mean pretending you never did anything wrong. It means taking responsibility for what you’ve done without believing you’re beyond redemption.
Here’s something I want you to understand tonight:
You are not the worst thing you’ve ever done.
You are not your addiction.
You are not your criminal record.
You are not the mistakes you made as a parent.
You are not the things people have said about you.
And you are not who you were at your lowest point.
You are a human being who is capable of healing, growing, changing, and becoming someone you are proud of. Keep shining!
