Cancer Prevention ☀️

Farmers and agricultural workers spend countless hours outdoors that can increase exposure to cancer risks over time. From protecting your skin from the sun to following safety guidelines, small actions today can make a big difference for your long-term health.

This week, take a moment to think about prevention. Wear sunscreen, cover exposed skin, use protective equipment when needed, and stay current with recommended health screenings. Taking care of your health is one of the most important investments you can make.

Confined Spaces 🛢️

Many farm injuries happen during routine tasks because hazards become familiar. Confined spaces such as grain bins, silos, and manure pits require extra caution, preparation, and awareness every time you enter.

Remember: Never enter alone, lock out equipment, use proper safety gear, and have a rescue plan ready.

The goal is simple: get the job done and get home safely.

Equipment & Rural Roadway Safety 🚜

Different vehicles. Same goal. Get home safely.

During National Farm Safety & Health Week, remember that rural roads are shared by farmers, families, commuters, and visitors.

Whether you're behind the wheel of a tractor, combine, pickup, or passenger vehicle:

• Stay alert
• Slow down
• Give others space
• Watch for turning equipment
• Be patient and courteous

Let's work together to keep our farms, roads, and communities safe this harvest season.
