We had a great time at Under The Sea themed fall Cub N Family at Boxwell. The Scouts did archery, BB gun, slingshot, games, water bottle rocket races, making s’mores, and the favorite- fishing!

Thank you to all those that helped out, especially Leader Jeremy Flynt!

If you’d like to join and take part in the fun, please message us! Just be patient with us if there is a delay today. We are trying to unthaw from the cold nights.

Last week, we had the pleasure of touring the headquarters of SMITH COUNTY RESCUE SQUAD. We were able to see all the tools to get cut out of a car, dive van, boats, and the newest edition- jetski. Thank you for showing us all the things and for always being there for the county at their worst hour!

The Oath of Scouting recognizes three duties:
- to God and country,
- to other people, and.
- to self.

Memorial Day gives us time to think about what we owe to those veterans who now rest in cemeteries. They signed up with the military to protect and defend our way of life in America. We should never forget them. Placing flags on veterans’ graves is just one way for Scouts to show our appreciation. Thank you, American Legion Post 57 for providing the flags.

Thank you to all those (some names may have been omitted) who participated yesterday in getting the cemeteries ready for Memorial Day.

Gordonsville Cemetery: Vivian Reynolds and Legion Members: Scott Penfield and Bob Baker.

Defeated Cemetery: Canan Barnhart and Elisha and Noah and Isaiah Bullock

Carthage Cemeteries: Logan Crocker, Blake Manning, Jake Pedigo, and Ephraim Rodenbach; Cub Scouts: Scott Hatter and Canan Barnhart (first went to Defeated) . Ronnie Butler, Jr. Eric Manning, Karen Pedigo, Tracey Rodenbach and Stacey Rodenbach. American Legion Members: Bruce Wentworth, Connie Laughlin, and another Legion member.
