Our Story

Our Founder and Lead Investigator, Marie Tayse, has always been interested in the paranormal from a young age. She had many experiences that she could not explain and began to read a number of books on the subject in an attempt to get some answers. As she grew from a child to a teenager, she realized she was different in several respects but in one particular that gave her a different perspective into the otherworldly. She discovered she was an empath, in addition to being highly-sensitive. However, these ‘gifts’ did not begin to serve her well until she was an adult. Before she became a parent, she realized she had the ability to just know things, without any explanation. It was during this time that she also begun to have precognitive dreams. In 2009, she started doing her own solo investigations into the paranormal. She also began documenting her dreams and perceptions. In 2010, she and her family began to have many disturbing experiences in their home that could not be explained. She called on two friends (now also members of Seeking Answers) to help her determine who or what was making its presence known in her home. Through research involving the property’s previous owners and tales from past residents and neighbors, the three of them determined that there was most likely a portal somewhere on the property or near by. Other theories of these three at the time included: the running water on the property was acting as a portal to the spirit world and/or spirits were attracted to Marie because they knew she could (through digital recording) communicate with them. In 2014, the activity at her home and on the property subsided a tad for the first few months, but then returned later in the year. By December, she and her partner decided to start their own investigative team. They had dealt with numerous paranormal aspects, and they believed they could offer others help with their experiences while collecting evidence. So, on January 2, 2015, Seeking Answers Paranormal was born. Since then, Marie has discovered she also has the ability to sense spirits in any given location. She has correctly picked up on the presence of unseen entities on several occasions, without any previous knowledge of any occurrences there or history of the property. To date, she is practicing to strengthen all of her ‘gifts’. As of November 2019, the team consists of four members: Marie, Jonathan, Shawn, & Phillip.
