Our current Adoption Aid Grant application period is open now through December 31, 2026!
One of the primary barriers standing between children and families is the cost associated with adoption. Our Adoption Grant is a resource to come alongside adopting families to help break down the financial barrier associated with adoption. Christian Adoption Resources and Education adoption grant ranges from $300-$3,000. Since 2011, CARE has been a part of helping children come home to their forever family.
Our grant includes families living in our 40-mile radius from Carthage, IL including parts of Iowa and Missouri.

When the Holy Spirit prompts you, say YES. You may be standing in the middle of someone else’s answered prayer. ❤️

I was out of state this Sunday and simply chose a church to attend. But God knew exactly where He was placing me.

That morning, three children, ages 8, 10, and 12 were baptized. As I heard their story, I learned their great-grandparents had recently stepped in to care for them. Immediately, I felt the Holy Spirit say, “Come alongside them.”

So we celebrated over lunch and then went shopping for new outfits for the children to start their new school next week.

Before we left, I made sure the kids knew: This isn’t about me. Jesus sees you. He knows what you need, and sometimes He asks people to show His love in a tangible way.

Their great-grandparents shared that they had been wondering how they were going to provide.

That stopped me in my tracks.

Their need. God’s prompting. My willingness to say yes.

When God puts a calling on your life, He doesn’t put boundaries on where you can live it out.

Listen for the Holy Spirit’s prompting. Be willing to be interrupted. Say yes.

You never know when God may be asking you to be part of someone else’s answered prayer. ❤️

Medical Care Grant for a CARE family.
We assisted with a medical expense for a child welcomed home through adoption.

CARE has some exciting news to share! This summer Mandy Humphry has officially become the full-time Executive Director of Christian Adoption Resources & Education. This is a huge step for our non-profit that Mandy founded in 2024. This will allow us to serve our adoptive community with undivided attention. Also, she is in a position to sustain our growth in all programs that help vulnerable children.

Mandy is a local adoptive parent that was called into ministry "caring for orphans" James 1:27, shortly after bringing her two children home in 2010 through international adoption. Since then, she has ministered to children and families in many different ways. She saw that there are orphans and vulnerable children needing to be adopted in our nation and around the world. One of the primary barriers standing between children and families is the cost associated with adoption. Adoptive families also just don’t have enough community support, post-adoption.

CARE partners with the local church in the tri-state area offering adoption grants, strengthen families, wraparound resources to the Hancock and Lee County foster care communities, and financial support for Children's Homes to orphans. So that every child can know the love of family.

Giving NEW items and experiences to kids in Hancock County’s IL foster care this summer 🏖️ brings us joy!

Through Community Foundation’s generosity in awarding CARE with a grant to meet needs in our community. CARE was able to provide 5 children in IL foster care with something they can now call their own or an experience. Two brand new bikes, a family pool pass, a senior graduation party, and a bed frame with a lighted headboard!

What may seem like normal things to some became a reminder to a child that they are seen, loved, and not forgotten. We watched smiles spread across faces and kids experience a moment of pure childhood happiness.

Thank you for helping us bring dignity, hope, and joy to children who have walked through hard things.
