Rotary club members will be working at the Carterville Bark Park on Saturday, June 6 beginning at 8:30 am. Projects include repairing and painting some of the dog agility equipment, as well as cleaning up brush and overgrowth around the park. Bring tools and yard equipment to assist in the effort. The bark park is a well used asset in Carterville and Rotary appreciates the community's effort in keeping it neat for all to enjoy!

Today at our club meeting, we recognized the three CHS students who earned our club's annual scholarship. They are Chloe Busby, Audrina Sloan & Lillian Leadingham. Congratulations to these three young ladies, who we know will do great things as they move on to the next phase of their education! We thank our scholarship committee chair Ben Craft, all students who applied and all who contributed funds to make these scholarships possible!

🌍 Host Family Needed – Welcome an Italian Exchange Student! 🇮🇹

Our Carterville community has an exciting opportunity to host a Rotary exchange student from Italy! We are currently looking for a welcoming family to open their home and hearts for a 6-month stay.

✨ How can a host family help?

-Providing a safe and supportive home environment, food and a study area.
-Help with school supplies and transportation to school (bus is also available)

💡 Good to know about the exchange student:

-The student has health insurance.
-Rotary offers guidance and support throughout the experience with Carterville Area Club YEO ( youth exchange officer) and YEC ( Youth Exchange counselor) and a District team.
- It is wonderful opportunity to share cultures, build lifelong connections, and create unforgettable memories

Hosting is a truly rewarding experience for the whole family! ❤️

On Friday, April 10, members of the club will be at the 4-way stop in Carterville from noon-6 pm, collecting funds for their CHS scholarships issued each spring. Cash and coins are accepted and appreciated, as we help students achieve their education dreams!

This Wednesday, we have the honor of welcoming an annual guest to give an update on Carterville: Mayor Brad Robinson. Bradley Robinson, Mayor of Carterville will give reports on all aspects of city government and always leaves room for questions.

Carterville Area Rotary Club meetings are open to the public to visit and learn more about the good works our club does throughout the community. Join us this Wednesday at 7:30 am at Crab Orchard Golf Club.
