Camp is less than one week away, and we still have 45 children and teens in need of a scholarship!

For these campers, this is more than just a week of fun. It is a chance to experience belonging, build meaningful relationships, make lifelong memories, and hear the life-changing truth that they are known, valued, and loved.

Your donation helps make these moments possible. Every dollar given goes directly toward creating a safe, encouraging, and unforgettable camp experience for youth in foster care.

Would you consider helping sponsor a camper? And if you are unable to give, would you help us by sharing this opportunity with your friends, family, church, or workplace? The more people who hear about this need, the more children we can impact together.

Join us in making camp possible for every child.

What does it look like for a church to be a safe haven for foster kids?

It looks like children being welcomed without questions, labels, or whispers.

It looks like volunteers trained to understand trauma, transitions, and hard behaviors.

It looks like a nursery worker who knows tears at drop-off may mean fear, not defiance.

It looks like foster parents walking in exhausted- and being met with help instead of judgment.

It looks like meals on the porch, diapers in the closet, and people who show up.

It looks like biological families being treated with dignity, prayer, and hope too.

It looks like respite nights, mentor relationships, and kids who know their names matter there.

It looks like consistency. The same smiles. The same safe adults. The same open arms.

A safe haven church doesn't just preach love. Children feel it the moment they walk in.

For many children impacted by foster care, trust has been broken more than once. New places can feel scary. New adults can feel unsafe. But a church has the opportunity to become something rare- predictable, welcoming, gentle, and steady.

Not perfect. Safe.

When churches understand trauma, support foster families, honor biological families, and create spaces where children can breathe, they become more than a building.

They become refuge.

If your church is ready to step into that kind of welcome, we'd love to walk with you. Send us a message- we'll help you begin. Or if your church already does this really well- TAG THEM!

If every church in Bartow County GA said yes to supporting Foster Care, we can change the future and heal the present. Reach out to me or Nicole T Barlow to find out how The Fostering Project can help.

More than one-third of youth waiting for adoption are 11 or older. That’s 36%.

Teens and older youth are often overlooked - but they still need connection, support, and a place to belong just as much as any child. ❤️‍🩹

This Foster Care Awareness Month, we’re shining a light on older youth in foster care.

When you support America’s Kids Belong, you help us recruit adoptive families, share kids’ stories, and build Foster Friendly Communities to help support them.

Belonging changes everything. And together, we can help more kids find it. 💙

BIG NEWS ⚾️💙

The Atlanta Braves are officially Foster Friendly®! They have now become the FIRST Major League Baseball team to earn this designation!

Through this partnership any foster and kinship families in Braves County receive:
⚾️ 25% off Sunday home game tickets
🏃‍♂️ Invite to Run the Bases after the game
🎉 Access to interactive family fun at Truist Park

In addition to joining the Foster Friendly App, they've built an incredible relationship with Georgia Kids Belong - hosting I Belong Project filming days, welcoming foster families to events, and so much more. 🥹

These moments matter. For children and families impacted by foster care, opportunities to make memories together and simply have fun lead to connection and trust. We’re so grateful to the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Braves Foundation for stepping up to the plate for foster families and setting an example for teams across the country. 👏

Every child is born wired to know one thing: I matter.

But somewhere along the way, kids in care started getting a different message. That they were too much. Not enough. Too hard to love. Forgettable. Disposable. A case number on someone's desk. A file passed from hand to hand.

And the cruelest lie of all… that they are alone.

That is the lie a safe adult breaks.

Not with big speeches. Not with perfect parenting. But by showing up. By staying. By remembering their favorite snack. By learning how they like their hair done. By sitting on the floor when they can't find the words. By saying their name like it means something- because it does.

A child begins to believe they are worthy of love when someone treats them like they are. They start to believe they are seen when someone keeps looking, even on the hard days. They start to believe they are not alone when an adult decides, I am not going anywhere.

This is the work. Not fixing kids. Not rescuing them. Just standing beside them long enough for them to see what we already see.

That they are precious. That they are wanted. That they were never meant to walk through this alone.

If you are that safe adult, keep standing. It matters more than you know. And if you've been wondering whether you could be, a child somewhere is waiting for you to say yes.

The answer to the foster care crisis isn’t just a better system.

It’s a community standing up and saying:
these children matter.
These families matter.
And we are not going to look away.

Real change happens when churches, businesses, schools, agencies, and neighbors stop assuming someone else will handle it and decide to step in together.

Not one person doing everything.
A community doing something.
