🎃💀Hello everyone! Camp Director Alex Kopf here with a very important message. With spooky season rapidly approaching, we're looking for Halloween decorations of any sort. :D

Drop-off hours will be from 11:30AM-7:30PM Monday - Friday on our Club side!

Hi everyone! This is your Camp Director, Alex Kopf wishing you all a very happy back to school season. 💚🧡

I'm thrilled to serve as the Camp Director at Camp Nakomis. I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2024 with a degree in journalism and sports media, and the Club has been a huge part of my story.

Between my time as a Camp kid, past roles, and now leading Camp Nakomis, this is roughly my 10th year connected to the Club—and I’m fired up for what’s ahead!

Some fun facts about me: I can juggle while ice skating! I’m also a freelance writer for Nebraska on SI, which means I’m always looking for great stories—and I can’t wait to help our members create some unforgettable one's next summer!

From the very beginning we had one goal in mind, and that was to make sure Camp Nakomis was as special as humanly possible for our youth and this summer we did just that!

This summer we had the absolute honor of helping usher in the next generation of awesome archers, canoers, volleyball professionals, swimmers and so much more all under the summer sun.

We could not have done this without the amazing leadership from Mr. Alex, Ms. Brenna, and the rest of the Camp Nakomis staff. But more importantly we could not have done this without the amazing continued support from you! Our friends, families, supporter, and amazing youth!

- 💦🌊 Water Limbo? Water Balloon Fight? Just simply pouring water on one another? WE THINK YES!

- ☀️ With the pool being closed for the day we had to figure out new ways to beat the heat in real time and our members loved it! If water is involved you can find out campers there!

- 🍭🌈 It's one thing to taste the rainbow, it's another thing to watch the rainbow form in real time! For STEM and Art programming today our campers participated in The Skittles water diffusion experiment

- 💦 🍽️ This experiment shows how molecules move from areas of high to low concentration! Circle whatever colored skittles of your choosing across the plate's edges, add water, and watch as the skittles coloring begins to diffuse into the middle of the plate!

- 🥵☀️These days just aren't getting any cooler, and that's okay because we found the PERFECT workaround!

- 🍦🍧 The Krafted Kona Shaved ice truck is here to help our members beat the heat in a delicious way! With a menu ranging from Cranberry, Blueberry Açaí, Coconut lime and so much our campers were sure to find the right combination of flavors to quench their thirst.
