Feliz Aniversário!!!
Today we celebrate the
birthday of one of the most important figures of our sport, the leader of the first Jiu-Jitsu federation founded in 1967 implementing a point system that promoted the better understanding of superior positioning in a match as well as general competition rules and belt system. Known as the the father of our sport, the man who transformed a grape into w**e, his techniques are taught around the globe the concepts of efficiency, frames, leverage allowing a smaller individual to defeat a larger opponent as seeing from self defense techniques to sport Jiu-Jitsu competitions an even in MMA. Happy Birthday to our eternal Grand Master Hélio Gracie we thank you for your lessons and all you done to create and represent our sport and community. We honor your legacy.
