GreenVets LA, is a non-profit, vocational rehabilitation program which works in conjunction with the West Los Angeles VA hospital. The veterans gain skills in industrial sewing, silk screening and printing required to make themed T-shirts and reusable cloth shopping bags. GreenVets LA’s mission is to ‘provide a hand-up rather than a hand out.’ We are proud to facilitate veterans taking responsibil

ity for improving their lives, strengthening their community and caring for the environment. Our work therapy program provides needed structure, accountability, time management and other life skills to reenter and sustain employment in today’s economy. Our facility creates revenue generating products which have a positive impact on our environment, the local economy and partially covers the costs of the program. The money received enables us to purchase raw materials, perform machinery maintenance and provide necessary training. However, this is not enough to satisfy those waiting to enter the program and realize the dream of self-reliance. Please be our partner with your donation and help spread the word!
