Brain Lab 2014 The "Summer of Neuroscience Research: " A Paradigm Shift In the GMAC Lab
To advance the knowledge of the human brain, psychology professors L. Mark Carrier and Larry Rosen used their $1,675 mini-grant to establish a Brain Imaging Laboratory within CSUDH’s George Marsh Applied Cognition Laboratory. The lab currently features a near-infrared (fNIR) spectroscope that provides real-time data about brain activity. The funding is helping with additional fNIR training, and to pay test participants, whose brain responses provided estimates of neural activity. The grant also enabled lab members to expand into the field of cognitive neuroscience. Larry Rosen, Mark Carrieer
