First Break Academy

First Break Academy First Break Academy is a USTA NJTL Capacity Building Chapter who brings tennis/multi sport/education First Break Academy is an award winning non profit.

We provide tennis instruction for aspiring juniors of every level. Education and Multi-Sport Play programs are offered year round. First Break is organized to close the opportunity gap and to help build high quality tennis and learning options for kids. First Break Academy has won grant awards from the USTA Diversity & Inclusion, Women's Sports Foundation and SCTA Community Tennis Association. The governing board includes tennis experts, sports enthusiasts, experienced educators and community leaders.

A very special shoutout to our very own, Coach Bettina 💙 Congratulations on receiving Bank of America’s President’s Volunteer Service Award in recognition of her 200+ volunteer hours in 2023!

Then ⏩️ Now | AAC Player of the Year! Taylor was with us as a player when we started as RAMP, she was consistently one of the best players in the country in her age group and was Top 10 in the World in Juniors. She began her college career at UCLA before transferring to SMU where she’s played #1 the last two years. 👏

Throughout her career Taylor has demonstrated the value of hard work, resilience, and consistently been a person of the highest character.

Taylor has been a volunteer for First Break, a participant at the LA Tennis Bash, and is a role model for all junior players! 💙
