FASAE SoCal Filipino American Society of Architects and Engineers of Southern California

The Filipino American Society of Architects and Engineers (SoCal) is a professional organization of individuals of Filipino descent who have been educated and trained as Architects and Engineers, or in any related fields of academic study. Membership in the organization is open to all other individuals who are not of Filipino ethnicity. This organization was established in late 1994 by 21 founding

members as a non-profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian organization. The collective efforts of the founding members enabled the FASAE-SoCal Chapter to become the third chapter, after the Guam and Sacramento/Reno chapters, to receive accreditation from FASAE, the national organization. Today, the FASAE-SoCal chapter continues to exist and serve its members, with thanks to the any dedicated individuals who have worked hard to promote the goals and mission statement of the Chapter. FASAE-SoCal's Mission Statement is "To advocate and promote the advancement and professional growth of the Filipino American Architects and Engineers for the public good."

✨ Celebrating Women’s History Month ✨

This month, we proudly celebrate the incredible women leaders serving on the Board of Directors of the Filipino American Society of Architects and Engineers of Southern California (FASAE SoCal).

In a historic milestone, for the first time in our 31-year history, Filipinas make up 60% of the Board—an inspiring reflection of progress, representation, and leadership in the A/E/C industry.

Your leadership, dedication, and impact continue to shape our community and help advance the future of architecture, engineering, sustainability, and beyond. We honor your contributions and the path you are paving for the next generation. 💐

Maligayang Pasko!

On Monday, December 8th, we at the Filipino American Society of Architects and Engineers of Southern California (FASAE SoCal) hosted our annual Holiday Gathering for our 4th Quarter General Membership Meeting.

We were welcomed into the beautifully Disney-themed, Christmas-decorated home of our Corresponding Secretary Emerita Jalandra!

This intimate end-of-year celebration was filled with laughter, gratitude, and reflections on the blessings and challenges we’ve overcome—shared together in a heartfelt toast.

We had a blast with our White Elephant gift exchange, complete with good-natured steals and dramatic surprises!

And of course—true to any Filipino gathering—there was plenty of food to enjoy and even more to take home.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to those who helped with setup and cleanup! And to those who couldn’t make it and contributed— we miss you all!

Special thanks to our Holiday Party committee members, Emerita Jalandra and Jacklyn Smith, for co-leading the planning and details of this wonderful evening.
