🌪️ Reminder: Grant County Siren Test Tomorrow April 29, 2026🌪️
As part of North Dakota Severe Summer Weather Awareness Week (April 27 – May 1, 2026), Grant County will be conducting a full-system outdoor warning siren test in Carson, Elgin, and New Leipzig.
📅 Wednesday, April 29, 2026
⏰ 10:00 AM MT
⚠️ This is only a test
We appreciate the continued support from Carson Rural Fire Dept., Elgin Rural Fire Protection District , and New Leipzig Volunteer Fire Department in helping make this test possible.
Now is a great time to review your tornado safety plan at home, work, or school and make sure everyone knows where to go in the event of severe weather.
📢 Reminder: Outdoor warning sirens are meant to alert people who are OUTSIDE. They may not be heard indoors—especially during storms.
Grant County Emergency Management recommends having multiple ways to receive alerts from the National Weather Service:
• Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) on your phone
• Weather apps
• Local radio and TV
• NOAA Weather Radio
