Ballet Folklorico Alma de Oro de Carson

Ballet Folklorico Alma de Oro de Carson Alma de Oro started as small dance program of a few kids and has grown in the past few years. We hold 45 dancers in our program in the City of Carson.

The dance program teaches kids, from 5yrs and up, about the Mexican heritage and dance technique that has been passed on from generation to generation. The dance instructor, Karen Ruan, teaches what was taught to her from her old dance instructors. The kids get an opportunity to learn how to dance and perform on stage. This program brings benefits to the dancers as in giving them confidence, knowledge, and giving them a way of expressing themselves in dance.
